Each classroom team establishes a behavior management plan that is designed to cultivate a classroom environment that is conducive to academic learning and personal growth. Our comprehensive curriculum, which is aligned with New Jersey Student Learning Standards, is designed to meet the goals and objectives of each student’s individualized educational plan.

The Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement is administered to all students to assess current levels of functioning and measure progress in the areas of reading, math and spelling.
Hampton Academy is approved by the State of New Jersey to administer all state assessments.
The development of life/social skills is the focus of our elective program. 21st Century Life Skills and Careers content is covered with a wide range of high-interest activities. This is a therapeutic period, supervised by our clinical team.
The primary focus of instruction is on classroom participation and in-class assignments. To meet the needs of individual students, homework may be assigned. Particularly, for students who are preparing for return to their district school, homework may be a key part of that transition.
Select students who complete an eligibility project have the opportunity to take courses at Rowan College At Burlington County and receive both high school and college credits for successful course completion. Tuition, textbooks and support are provided by Hampton Academy, at no cost to families. Transportation options may also be available.
