Hampton Academy’s mission is to meet the needs of our students so they have the opportunity to reach their highest academic levels. To enhance our mission, Hampton Academy is currently piloting a classroom with flexible seating for students.
To assist students with disabilities successfully move from school into the adult world, The Career and Academic Planning (CAP) Center provides transitioning and academic services for Hampton Academy high school students.
This approach to teaching reading, writing and spelling is explicit, direct, multisensory-structured and phonetic. Assessment by our Orton-Gillingham Reading practitioner identifies potential poor readers who may struggle with a number of reading and writing skills.
Our clinical team supervises daily electives instruction focused on the development of appropriate social skills. Specific individual social skill deficits are addressed in individual counseling.
Students in need of psychiatric consultation, medication evaluation and ongoing medication management may receive services while at Hampton Academy.
Hampton Academy provides individualized, trauma-focused support and education for children and adolescents ages 6 and older. Our educational program is designed for students who suffer from anxiety, school avoidance, poor social skills, mood disorders and other socio-emotional concerns that interrupt their ability to fully function in a traditional academic setting.
